Account access

BackerBase access is invitation based. Use the approved email or username associated with your account, and never share invitation or password-reset links.

  1. Open the invitation link from your email before the expiration date shown on the page.
  2. Confirm that the displayed email and assigned role are correct.
  3. Create a password of at least eight characters, or choose Continue with Google if that option is available.
  4. Finish the optional onboarding guide or continue directly to the application.

An invitation works once. Expired, revoked, declined, or already-used links cannot be reused. Ask the BackerBase administrator who invited you to resend the invitation when the page says the link is unavailable.

If you are already signed in with a different account, sign out before accepting the invitation. BackerBase will not silently switch accounts.

Open Sign in to BackerBase (/auth/signin), then enter the email or username and password associated with your account.

If Continue with Google appears, it is available for approved accounts. Use the same email address that received BackerBase access. The Google option is not shown in every environment.

After a successful sign-in, BackerBase returns you to the safe product destination that originally required authentication when possible.

  1. Select Forgot password? on the sign-in page.
  2. Enter the approved email associated with the password account.
  3. Open the one-time reset link sent to that address. The link is valid for one hour.
  4. Create a password of at least eight characters and confirm it.
  5. Sign in again with the new password.

The request page shows the same confirmation whether or not an eligible account exists. If no email arrives, check the address and spam folder, wait a few minutes, then contact the BackerBase administrator who provided access.

A reset link cannot be reused. Request a new one if the page reports that it is expired or unavailable.

Open Security (/account/security). Enter the current password, then choose a different new password of at least eight characters.

Changing the password signs out the current browser. BackerBase does not currently show or revoke a list of other signed-in browsers, so other existing sessions may remain active until they expire.

  • Confirm that you are using the exact email or username associated with the account.
  • Re-enter the password rather than relying on an outdated saved credential.
  • Use Forgot password? if you are unsure of the password.
  • If Google sign-in fails, try password sign-in when the account has a password.

For security, the sign-in page does not reveal whether the username or password was incorrect.

Select Sign in and return. BackerBase can restore safe URL-based research state, such as a saved route or filter query, but unsaved form changes may be lost.

You are signed in, but your assigned role does not permit the requested area or action. Open Account access (/account/access) to review the role description. Only an administrator can change a role.

The application could not start a secure authentication session. Retry after a short interval. If the state continues, report the time and page to the BackerBase administrator without sending a password, session value, invitation link, or reset link.

  • Do not share invitation, reset, or sign-in links that contain access information.
  • Do not send a password through feedback, email, or screenshots.
  • Use a unique password that you do not reuse for another service.
  • Sign out on a shared device.
  • Treat unexpected role or account changes as an access issue and report them promptly.
